Six years in France. The digital infrastructure works, but for Indians arriving here, daily life still feels scattered. A note on why we are building this.

I have been in France for six years.

In that time, almost every part of life here has gone digital. You can renew a titre de sΓ©jour, file your taxes, register with Ameli, set up CAF, all from a phone. The infrastructure is there.

What is not there, for someone arriving from India, is one platform that pulls it together for you. The information exists, but it is scattered across government portals in French, Reddit threads in three different time zones, WhatsApp groups you only learn about once you are inside them. The first year here is a constant exercise in figuring out who to ask, what document is missing, why a form returned an error you cannot translate.

People land in France ready to build a life and, within a month, feel lost. Lonely, often. The systems work, but they were not designed for someone whose first reflex is to call a friend who has already done it.

FranceMitra exists for that. Community is what we lead with; the guides, the tools, the AI all sit in service of it. We want this to feel like that friend.

www.francemitra.com is now the home of everything we are building. Reach us at hello@francemitra.com.
