Zone 1
This is your contracted monthly salary before any deductions. When a French company offers you '48k', they mean 48,000 EUR Gross (Brut) per year.
Annual: 48,000 EUR / 12 months = 4,000 EUR/month Gross
In India, CTC includes employer PF, gratuity, and perks. In France, Brut is ONLY your share. The employer pays an additional ~45% on top of your Brut in hidden charges (the 'Super-Brut'). So a 48k Brut actually costs the company about 70k.
