The Embassy of India in Paris has confirmed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the Indian community on Wednesday, 18 June 2026, during his visit to France for the G7 Summit in Évian-les-Bains (15 to 17 June). Online registration is open now at the Embassy registration page. The venue and exact time will be sent to registered attendees by email closer to the date.

The pattern from past Modi visits is the same every time. 2017 La Seine Musicale. 2023 La Seine Musicale. February 2025 AI Summit. Registration opens, fills within days, and the Embassy closes the form before the official deadline. If you intend to go, register today.

Who can register

The Embassy page asks for name, email, mobile number (with country code +33 or +91), and date of birth. There is no stated nationality filter on the form itself, but past events have been open to people of Indian origin. That means Indian passport holders, OCI or PIO card holders, and their immediate family members. Bring whichever ID confirms your link to India.

What you'll need at the venue

The Embassy confirms one mandatory item:

  • Valid photo ID at the entrance.

What's not yet confirmed but always applies at these events:

  • A printed or digital copy of your registration confirmation email.
  • Security checks similar to a major arena. Arrive 60 to 90 minutes early.
  • No large bags or food allowed inside.
  • Children's policy is usually clarified in the confirmation email. Ask via the Embassy contact page if relevant.

What to do

  • Register today at eoiparis.gov.in/Community_Registration. The form is short, under five minutes.
  • Watch your inbox for the confirmation email and, later, the venue email. Check your spam folder. Embassy emails sometimes land there.
  • Block 18 June in your calendar even before the exact time is confirmed. Past events have run for two to three hours in the late afternoon or early evening.
  • If you have friends or family planning to come from outside France, advise them to register through the same form using their +91 number. The Embassy does not require France residence to attend.
  • If you live outside Paris and need to travel, wait for the venue email before booking trains. The 2017 and 2023 venues were both in Île-de-France but the exact location matters for SNCF planning.

This is the largest Indian community gathering in France in years. The G7 framing also means a heavier diplomatic and media footprint than the usual diaspora visit. Plan for it like a major civic event, not a casual evening.
