Kitchens close between 2:30–7 PM sharp. Lunch is 12–2 PM, dinner 7:30–9:30 PM. Don't be the tourist asking for food at 4 PM.

Buy your baguette fresh each morning. A proper baguette is "tradition" not "ordinaire". Ask for it "bien cuite" (well-baked) for extra crunch.

Cheese Before Dessert

In France, cheese (fromage) comes after the main course and before dessert, never as a starter. Order it with a glass of red and take your time.
